With the year 2008 almost finished American filmakers sent to screen well over 275 films. Of the three hundred, about seventy are meant to tickle our funny bones. Here are some of the funniest movies put on screen this year.

ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO: The bills are piling up and Zack and Miri, platonic friends since childhoold, really need to find an answer to their money problems. Their solution? Oh, thats easy, start making pornos. As you can imagine this is a perfect enviornment for a great comedy.

STEP BROTHERS: When two 40 year olds, who each live with their single parents, find themselves having to live in the same room because their parents have wed, we see that they are bound to have problems. Having the combination of Reilly and Ferrell acting as these two idiots, and the table is set for a racous comedy. This film is a sure fire bet if your looking for some laughs.

PINEAPPLE EXPRESS: Full time stoner Dale Denton unfortunately has just viewed a crooked cop, and the local drug king pin, commit a murder. The killers know he has seen the crime. Knowing they’ve seen him, he drops his joint of pineapple express, and he flees. The weed is so special, that the bad guys can trace it. The “fun” is on, the bad guys are hunting, and Dale and dealer Saul are on the run.

HAMLET 2: Dana Marshz, formerly a small time actor, has moved on to teaching theater classes at the high school to apathetic students. When they lose a building at the campus, the school board figures the theatre progam will have to go. Fully inspired, he tries to save the program by producing Hamlet 2, a sequel to the original work, which he writes himself.

FORGETTING SAHRAH MARSHALL: Grief stricken from a break up with long time girlfriend Sarah, an actress in a chessy sitcom, Peter finally plans to escape to Oahu to get past the break up. Of course, when he checks into the resort hotel, the first thing he sees is sarah and her new man, who’s bigger than life. This sets up as a fun filled romantic comedy.

GET SMART: Agent 86 is at it again, “and loving it”. KAOS vs CONTROL, the shoe phone, and all the classic quotes. It is worth the look back at the 1960’s spy spoof series.

MADAGASCAR: ESCAPE 2 AFRICA: This is obviously the sequel to the highly acclaimed Madagascar. The small group of animal friends want to go back to the zoo in New York, from their first adventure. With things going wrong again, with the Penguins leading them astray, they are off to Africa, for more adventures.

ROLE MODELS: Danny and Wheeler who promote an energy drink, might be seeing some hard jail time because they binged and trashed the company truck. The way they can avoid being locked up is to perform 150 hours of community service. They will have to mentor troubled kids in a big brother type situation. The pieces are all in place for this to be very funny.

TROPIC THUNDER: Overloded with good actors this film is a parody of recent war movies. To get better results from his super star cast to create a quality war film, the frantic, and abused, director Damien Cockburn into the middle of nowhere, and leaves them there by themselves. His theory is to frightnen them so they will produce a work of genius, which will be caught on hidden cameras in the area. When the director walks over a land mine and is blown apart, the actors are now truely on their own, and they are covinced everything is just an act, but things are getting very, very real. Stars include Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr., and Tom Cruise.

All of these movies, and more, are yours to buy, get as a rental, or you can even down load movies right onto your hard drive.
